Every piece in the Stone Range is cut from the silver-grey granite De Lank has quarried on Bodmin Moor since 1759: the granite of the Thames Embankment, Tower Bridge, Trafalgar Square and the US Embassy. It has a compressive strength of 219 MPa, a density of 2644 kg/m³ and a water absorption of 0.20%, which is why it does not stain, spall or weather in British conditions.
